Is 2gb nvidia geforce gtx 460 better than 1gb ati radeon hd 6870?

Between those two, the Radeon HD 6870 is more powerful. The 768mb GTX 460 is equivalent to the Radeon HD 6790. The standard 1gb GTX 460 (non-SE) is equivalent to the Radeon 6850, and the GTX 560 is the direct competitor to the Radeon HD 6870.

The superclocked GTX 460 cards manage to edge the Radeon HD 6870, but that particular model from EVGA is only clocked at 700Mhz. The higher price is just because it's a 2gb model (which doesn't affect performance at resolutions of 1920x1080 or lower). 2gb cards perform better at ultra-high resolutions like 2560x1600, or when running dual monitors.

But even then, the benefits of additional video RAM are less than the benefits of having a higher-end GPU. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gefo... http://hothardware.com/Reviews/AMD-Radeo... Note: Card reviews are your best resource for performance info. Passmark rankings only tell you how well different cards perform on synthetic benchmark tests, not in actual game titles.

The results from HWCompare are even worse- just theoretical projections based upon card's design specs, not any real-world tests of any sort! Their charts admit this if you read the disclaimer :) As for the psu, it's more than enough. Even the 520W Antec Neo Eco would be fine.

EVGA GeForce GTX460 card is just wondrful. It's quiet, runs cool, performs better than any card I ever had and looks cool! Seriously, this is a great card and at the price, really a steal.

If you're planning a video upgrade, you'll not do much better than this. Amazon was awesome, fast delivery, great price.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
