Is anyone else bothered somewhat when people call it July 4th instead of Independence Day? It's like calling Christmas December 25th?

What bothers me most is that sometimes people do not know what it is celebrated. At least in my country( Puerto Rico), you ask people what day is and they may tell you it's Fourth of July, but do not know anything else. It usually happens with Thanksgiving(el dia del pavo- the turkey day) or Christmas Day( el dia de Santa Clo- Saint Nicholas Day).

So yes it bothers me that people forgets about history, and meaning of important dates, and remembers only the commercialide of it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
