Im not evacuating but I live in a coastal town in CT we're expecting hurricane conditions tomorrow so we're preparing. We will probably lose power, homes along the water are being evacuated, stocked up on food, storm surge along the coast is suppose to be an issue as the water in long island sound piles up! -Jeannierinabottle be careful I believe its something like every 20 stories you go up in a building the winds are a category stronger!
I have not evacuated. I am in Baltimore, MD in a high rise, and I am going to try to tough it out. I just got paranoid and used masking tape and cardboard to "secure" one of my windows that rattles when even the slightest wind blows.
I am up pretty high, so the wind is my primary concern. I also have a nice stock of food. I've been filling jugs, buckets, and the tub with water.
I hope I am prepared. If we lose the electric, it is supposed to be out for days. I hope you and your family makes it through the hurricane without any problems.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
