Is it blackmail if I threaten to press unrelated charges to stop defamation?

If they are blackmailing you, then that's a crime. Unfortunately, you don't have any way out if you committed a crime that they know about and you were not caught. You could file a civil suit against them for harassing communication.

So...what did you do that they know about? If it's pretty bad, you should hire a lawyer.

That's blackmail. You need to speak with your manager if this is getting a problem, as it sounds more like bullying. You could try speaking to the blackmailer, but you've probably already done this.

But to hold something against you in order to make you do things is blackmail and you shouldn't stand for it. The manager should be able to sort it out. Good luck :).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
