Is Royal Marine training, the same as normal Infantry training.?

Royal Marines are primarily Infantry and over the recent conflicts have been on the exact same rotations as all other British Infantry Regiments The main difference is the Rifles are a limited as they are a single Regiment whereas the Royal Marines are a whole Brigade so can offer more cadres/courses and a more varied career as they have more specialisations as you progress. If you are happy to work basic light/mech/armoured Infantry all your career then the Rifles are perfectly fine. If you want to branch out after a few years and do specialist things like Police, tech, landing craft etc then the Royals would be far better.

My Battalion hosted a platoon of Royal Marines at the Marine Corps Air and Land Combat Training Center in 29 Stumps, cali before we deployed to Iraq in 2004...we worked mostly in urban warfare and house/structure clearing techniques, but we also did some pretty extensive hand to hand combat training with them including blade training....needless to say things got pretty intense as neither unit wanted to be out done by the other...they were extremely good troops with excellent leadership, but when it was all said and done they knew and we knew that they weren't as good as U.S. Marines.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
