Is there African and American American Studies major at Darmouth?

There is an African and African American Studies major in Dartmouth college. The African and African American Studies or AAAS Program is a program that is designed to give students vital understanding and knowledge of the art, cultures, history, politics, social organization and economics of the African diaspora. To qualify for the AAAS major you have to have these eleven courses.

*One African American survey course: AAAS 10, 12, or 13. *One African survey course: AAAS 11, 14, or 15. * Eight elective courses (Two courses with TMV, TAS or SOC and Two courses with ART or LIT).

*A culminating experience, which could be your Senior Independent Research: AAAS 97, Senior Seminars, AAAS 90-96 or your Honors Thesis: AAAS 98 and 99. If you meet these requirements you can apply for admission during the second or third terms of your junior year and you must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in all your subjects and a 3.3 GPA in the major. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
