You should contact a lawyer. In some states you can have convictions taken off your record after a certain amount of time. 25 years is certainly a long URL1 may be something you should look into.

If you can't get the convictions taken off, then be upfront about it to prospective employers, stressing that you've been a law-abiding citizen for 25 years and that you know better than anyone what happens when you're bad.

Nebraska is backwards and if it can keep blacks down and out their all for it....Thanks forrealnow 15 months ago .

3) You need to look at the laws in your state, and perhaps move someplace not so backwards. Wisconsin, for example, they can not hold a conviction against you unless it is somehow related to your work; additionally, real businesses limit the amount of time they go back to 7 - 10 years. The only place I have seen, that isn't a backwards state, where it matters if you have a cnviction of any kind at any time, are licensed professions, sexual registry cases and work around children.

Many states limit the time they can go back to 3, 7 or 10 years on a job application.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
