I've "won" an accolade yesterday for contributing to the community with comments Today it is gone?

Your comment accolade is there. You are a level 2 commenter. I believe you are referring to your participation accolade.

You need to keep up that participation in order to keep your accolade. If you stop participating you lose it.

Yes it is possible. In fact, my accolade jumps for 10 to 11 due to that. I believe it counts the ratio of activity.

:).

Starting I thought was a glitch but it wasn't.

If this is the 1st time you saw this accolade theen it might be visible off and on till you participate regularly in the community. Then it'll be visible always. It happened to me too.

Some of mine disappear and reappear often. I guess it all depends on your current participation, so keep up the comments and you will get it back.

I looked at your account and the "Contributes to the community" accolade is really not there. I actually experienced the same months ago Lits, I felt worried why my level 2 commenter accolade was gone. But I just logged out and then login again and it showed again.

Hoooooh! I really thought it was gone. How about asking this question to a hubpages staff.

There are hubpages staff hubbers around the community like Casey (norahcasey.hubpages.com/).

I'm not really sure, but I would try refreshing your browser, if you haven't already, and see if that solves it. I've noticed when viewing my profile page, the two numbers of followers are different. Sometimes doing a refresh solves it.

I had noticed that for about a week my Hub Community Contribution accolade would disappear and reappear. Give it a few days.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
