Oh, so many questions! Unlike Pres. Pierce, I have a staggering list of questions for the man who delivered us to the doorstep of the Civil War.
Dear Ghost-President Buchanan, 1. Did you really have an active role in the Dred-Scott case? To what extent?
2.Do you regret it?...not stepping in a taking action for or against the Secession? With full hindsight, for which side would you have acted?3. At the end of your career, what did you really think of Stephen Douglas?
How did you/do you regard him?4. The day before you died you noted that "story will vindicate my memory". Do you think it has?
If not, do you think it still may? Was this comment a signal that you felt no large regrets about your presidential actions? And yes, I think it highly likely that Buchanan was, indeed, gay.
But I wonder if he really knew of it himself. I would ask the Ghost-President Buchanan about such matters, but I am a lady. ;).
He is considered one of the worst presidents. He was very unpopular because of his southern sympathies and his position on the Dred-Scott case. He also probably was gay.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
