Chances are pretty good that you will not find the correct SATA drivers if the computer in question was designed to run on Windows 7. You will have to go to the manufacturers site in the support portion, and locate XP drivers for the SATA controller. If they do not offer them, the only other alternative to finding SATA controller drivers is to look for the reference drivers of the company that created the SATA controller.

If it is a laptop, chances are pretty good that they will not have the reference drivers for you to extract, and they will point you back to the direction of the computer's manufacturer support site. If you do find it, then you will have to use nLite, which I am sure is what the other answered pointed you to. You will have to load the original disc, extract and slipstream the drivers, and burn it on to a recordable or rewritable disc.

If it is the interface that is daunting to you, then downgrade the user interface to something more basic. Closer to Windows 2000 Professional in style, and uses less resources anyway. - Control Panel - System - Click on Advanced System Settings - Look in the Performance portion and click the Settings button - Click Adjust for Best Performance - Press Apply and wait as the screen will grey out.

- It will revert to an older Windows 2000 Professional user interface. If it is an issue with legacy programs not being able to run in Windows 7, and you have tried various compatibility modes. The only thing I can think of, and this is if you can not find the SATA controller drivers, is to run Virtual XP.

Follow the XP installation instructions that came with your motherboard. You will need to either make an F6 driver disk or use a program like nLite to make an XP boot CD with the correct drivers integrated.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
