My oven has a convection bake and convection roast feature, but I have never used either option. Have you? What recipes would you recommend I try that require the convection feature?

What are the benefits of using this feature? Many thanks. Asked by primerib 50 months ago Similar questions: oven convection bake roast feature option Food & Drink > Cooking.

Yes... I have a convection oven...I use it a lot... The general rule is to use convection baking (instead of regular) for items with an open pan, so air can circulate...cookies, rolls, cakes, uncovered items, etc...your owners manual will give you more ideas, or better yet get a convection baking cookbook, I have two: The Best Convection Oven Cookbook by Linda Stephen, and Cooking With Convection by Beatrice A. Ojakangas...both are very, very good... They usually recommend using 25 degrees less than the called-for temperature & usually not as long, either...you need to experiment... Try making some cookies, watch them closely... I hope this helps! Sources: Experience!

I used to have a Nesco Roaster Oven that had the convection features. I made anything that I would make in a regular oven. The difference of the convection is that it browns things nicely making baked items and roasts come out alot nicer.

Also, I believe they tend to cook a little faster with the convection than regular. I liked the results of any thing I made in the convection so much I used it all the time when I used the roaster for those type of meals. I made cakes and pies using the baking and I did turkey and different types of roasts along with chicken and pork for the roast feature.

You can use any recipe you have that is a regular recipe and use the convection feature for it--the only thing is to watch your time and check the item frequently until you know how long it takes to bake something with convection vs reg. Or same thing for the roasting. You might try to see if there are some books you can use also to give you ideas.

I will try to search some and add them in. I do know the Nesco sells books for the roaster that has convection. But your oven should have had something with it when you bought it.

Give it a try, I think you will like the results. 1 We just moved into a new place with an oven that has this and from what I can tell, the convection feature seems to cook things faster. The oven definitely heats up quickly (no 10 minute warm up necessary). The first thing I cooked with it, I kept on too long, so it was a little dry.

Once I adjusted the cooking time, it cooked very nice and evenly.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
