My Puppy Won't Eat Evertime I give her food she just sniffs the food & walk away. Is it a sign that she has tapeworms? or what should I do?

I'm sorry to hear that Lacey is seemingly ill. When a dog will not eat, it is usually a symptom of a different problem, not just a loss of appetite. If a dog has refused all food, do not let this go more than 12 hrs before contacting a veternarian.

Dogs that are not eating can become hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) and need medical care to avoid this. Sometimes a dog will stop eating due to having an upset stomach, although this may pass, the dog may still not want to eat because having not ate for awhile, the stomach begins to get inflammed and produce bile, or as I said earlier may become hypoglycemic, all of this can lead to the dog not eating still and it's kind of like a cycle. You should contact a vet, because they may want you to try feeding the dog a supplement formula (is your dog drinking?) A dog with tapeworms will eat more than normal, so that is not likely.

I've included a link that explains a way to help get a dog eating again. Remember though, since this is a puppy you want to see the vet if Lacey doesn't start eating soon -pawsalmighty.

It is a sign that your puppy is holding out for treats. Or...she might not require as much food as what you expect of her. Try skipping 2 feedings and see how she does.Do not give her any treats in the meantime.

How many times a day are you feeding her? How old is she? Is she pooping and peeing?

Does she behave as if she's ill?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
