My spaniel puppy has recently started to bark at animals on TV. I love animal/wildlife programmes. Any tips?

There are two methods of training that I have tried. One is to take a pop can and put pennies or rocks in it, tape the top shut and when it barks shake the can. It will startle it and eventually it will stop.

I never had the heart to keep doing that after the first time. I was afraid it would make my puppy fearful. So, I usually resort to a spray bottle filled with tap water.

When it barks, spray it. I also use this method to keep my cats away from my Christmas tree. :).

I was told to put water on the dog when he barks.

OR you can videotape it and send it into one of those funny video shows :p ...but the can shaking thing may help, too.

Put the dog in another room when you are watching those shows. I had a cat who used to watch us play video games and follow the characters on the screen.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
