2 Yep, I think you are referring to Tarot cards. However, there are several other types of card decks that can be used for divination, including regular old playing cards (which, btw, are derived from the Tarot deck) .

3 Tarot cards have a set of specific pictures of people or objects, not just 5 symbols. It really does sound like you're describing Zener cards, except they have a square rather than a triangle. Whatever cards someone uses, the purpose is to focus the reader's thoughts (intuition).

In theory, a reader could actually just make a deck with pictures/symbols relevant to her and use that. If the Zener cards are meaningful to you, Google will show you several sites that sell them.

4 At the risk of sounding like I need to adjust my tin foil hat, the bottom line is that you can use any card deck, bag of runes, pile of sticks, tea leaves, etc for the same end. The objects are simply as a tool to focus and help one relate to the larger force at hand, that force being a connection to our higher spiritual beings.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
