Now that the iPad is jailbroken, How long before Apple will issue a new patch?

I think they will patch it whenever they have software updates. This will set the stage for another cat and mouse game between hackers and Apple developers. No doubt, each iPad OS update will make it harder and harder to jailbreak or there will be limitations on how it can be used as a jailbroken device (most iPhones have to be jailbroken every time they're restarted now).

I don't think they're going to abnormally rush the patch. If they rush it out, it likely won't include an appropriate number of software updates. Also, if the patch is rushed out for that purpose and then people find more vulnerabilities in another 24 hours, that's not going to look so great.

If they act like they're ignoring the hack even when they're not, that's probably the best PR strategy. I'm guessing they'll have a patch out in a couple of months or so, and at that time, TechCrunch will begin talking about how the phrase iBrick can apply to the iPad as well as the iPhone. As for actual retaliation, I don't think we're going to get too much for the time being.

Apple seems to be working hard not to respond. They definitely aren't making their system more open, that's for sure.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
