On my 32" Vizio HDTV I have black Borders on my Basic Channels. I have a Comp connection from my cable box to my TV?

On my 32" Vizio HDTV I have black Borders on my Basic Channels. I have a Comp connection from my cable box to my TV I get full pictures on my HD channels. How do I stretch the picture on basic channels or is this normal?

You can always use a stretch mode, with non-digital channels. Yes, it is normal. On my HDTV, I use the remote to change the picture formating.It might say zoom, or stretch, something like that.

One of your remotes should have a button to adjust the picture. There are many discussions in forums about this- one person says-"Personally, the black bars on the top and bottom or sides does not bother me. I want to see the whole picture in it's original form, whatever that is.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
