Pictures on CD out of order compared with computer slide show using Picassa?

Pictures on CD out of order compared with computer slide show using Picassa. I use Picassa for my digital pictures. Have them all set up in Picassa and can run a slide show on the computer.

I selected all of them and burned a CD using Picassa. I can play the CD on the computer and all pictures are in perfect order. When I put the CD in a DVD Player, it plays the pictures, but in what appears to be random order.

Can anyone help in advising me how to get the pictures to play in the correct order on a DVD player? I need this for a presentation to a club and cannot do it if the pictures are out of order. Rename them all What I would suggest is to highlight all of the images, and then do a Rename and then rename them all. But have them in the order you want first. Note you might have to change 1 name afterwards, as sometimes the first one becomes the last one, but if you know it before you start that should be something you can look for and adjust.It might also be that the program that writes them to the DVD is recording more info and the dvd player is looking for info that it does not see, or is set to maybe play them based on the time shot or time modified.

If that is the case, you will need to either change the setting on the DVD player, thru the menu feature, or adjust the image info. I know it can be done in photoshop, but I think the media viewer on vista can allow that also. I would suggest you put the dvd in a player and play it and log the order it is in, so you can see if its by name, or maybe by time created or modified, or such.

This way you know what you will need to adjust. Also check the menu feature so you can adjust the playback option. Other option would be to use a program like Proshow Gold to make a digital slide show, and ad music if you want and then save it and put it on DVD and then play it.

Order Normally DVD players that can view image files usually pull up in alphanumeric order (#'s before letters) If you want them to read in order you have to organize the titles by the actual file name. 01, 02, 03...10 11...ect. Thats always worked for me.

Also, the same goes for audio files.
