Place to visit in Niagara Falls area?

I am planning to go visit Niagara Falls this weekend and I am trying to find attractions of any kind to spend the day or two. I am not planning to go into Canada. I was wondering, what are some places to visit in Hamburg aread, and also north-east, still in New York?

Tourist-y things in the greater Buffalo area It sounds like you're going to be all over the greater Buffalo area, so here are some general suggestions for you: Things to do in Niagara Falls (besides the obvious seeing the Falls :): The Niagara Falls Aquarium is small but a hit especially with young toddlers. There are penguins and sea lions and what made my niece's day: Nemo (clown) fish! While at the falls, check out Goat Island (a great view from the very top most edge of the falls), the Cave of the Winds (a walking tour up close to the falls), and the Maid of the Mist (a boat tour to the bottom of the falls).

Seneca Niagara Casino is very close to the falls if you feel the need to drop a few buck at the slots or craps tables (or who knows, maybe win a few bucks! ) Their buffet is quite good, as is the steakhouse. Things to do in Buffalo: The Albright-Knox art museum is one of my favorite art museums ever.

It has a beautiful Greek style porch, and outstanding modern and impressionist collections. You could go to the Buffalo Zoo. It's a smaller zoo, but still very nice.

Then you could walk around Delaware Park. Buffalo has a lot of really beautiful architecture, including a number of houses designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Here's one example of an architecture driving tour.

Not-to-be-missed Buffalo food: When you're in Buffalo, you have to get chicken wings. The Anchor Bar is where chicken wings were invented. However, if you ask me, Duff's wings are far superior.

Just don't forget, chicken wings are to be eaten with BLUE CHEESE dressing, not ranch! Ted's Grilled Hot Dogs are another not-to-be-missed Buffalo food, as is a beef on weck sandwich at some place like Anderson's. A not-quite-as-famous, but the thing I HAVE to have whenever I go to Buffalo, is a chicken finger sub from John's pizza.

Hamburg area and south of Buffalo suggestions: I've never lived in this area, but I have a few suggestions for you. You might want to check out the Erie County Fairgrounds. You just missed the Fair, but there are some horse shows this weekend if that floats your boat.

If you're interested in psychics, you might want to head down to Lily Dale, a town of Spiritualists. There are plenty of mediums there if you want to have a reading done. North/North-east of Niagara Falls: You could visit Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown, NY You could go to the museum at the power plant in Lewiston.

I remember going there when I was in grade school and thinking it was neat but I don't remember much else about it. It's free... You could go fruit/veggie picking at Murphy Orchards in Burt, NY, which was also an underground railroad stop and offers an afternoon tea. Have fun!

Knowing about the constant weathering and erosion what do you belive Niagara falls will look like in the next thousands.

I am holding a tourist visa to the USA and wish to travel to Canada from the USA by road to visit Niagara fall for a day.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
