It's just as selfish for their loved ones to force them to live and encounter pain and suffering just so they don't feel sad as it is for the person to commit suicide and do it to them.
Depression, OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Body Dysmorphic Disorder are all terrible mental afflcitions which can result in suicide. It can be hard to imagine, but these disorders actually cause someone so much pain and discomfort that sometimes they perceive suicide to be the only way out. Imagine if one day you woke up and you were in an excruciating amount of pain, and over time it never went away or even subsided.
You too might consider suicide. Imagine putting a horse down because it's broken its leg and is in unbearable pain - sometimes death just seems like the most humane thing to do.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
