Question: You say you are an atheist conservatively because the burden of proof lies on the theists (serious)?

I don't think the burden of proof lies w/ Atheists. How do you know babies are born atheists? Have any told you?

You claim that atheism is the rejection of those conversion attempts and not a belief system. But atheists do make a positive claim, that God doesn't exist. Even Dawkins rejects outright atheism.

To quote the God delusion: "Reason alone could not propel one to total conviction that anything definitely doesn't exist" (page 51). So atheism makes a claim and it is often supported by other beliefs (ex: Many atheists often believe the the material world is all there is). This sounds like a belief system.

If you have a response, please post in additional details. I am also interested.

They think God's existence is so obvious that you have to disprove it instead of prove it. And that's ridiculous, because if it's so obvious, you'd think people could agree on what his will was or what religion was obviously correct. Instead, it's just invisible mysterious magical entities that exist outside space and time and have never been detected, only speculated about.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
