Should I purposely fail a class so I can retake it (high school)?

Knowing more than half may seem like you know the majority of the information, but that doesn't translate to success in the real world. If you only know how to build a little more than half of a car or a little more than half of a cake or a little more than half of really anything, that just doesn't cut it, and it's not realistic to let people scrape by just because they know a little more than half. This is the system for pretty much all high schools, and don't expect it to change.

Also, knowing more than half, in this case knowing three-fifths, does not quantify as "most." "Most" is more like 90% of something.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
