Shure sm58 and x2u combo or blue yeti or blue snowball?

SM58 is great for live use, but for computer recording you're better off with the Blue Yeti. It will have a more natural, balanced, open, crisp sound compared to the SM58 since it's a condenser. And you're right, the SM58 needs an audio interface or a USB adapter like the Shure X2U (another $99) before you can even start recording.

As for the SM57, that's more a guitar cab and snare microphone; it's like a SM58 without the wind screen. I mean you can sing into it, and presidents have used it for giving speeches (albeit from a foot away and covered with a wind screen and through a powerful preamp). It'll make you sound like Paul McCartney or RHCP if you're lucky... you know that up close boxy sound.

The Yeti will be your cheapest and easiest solution if you're sticking to computer recording.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
