The rainpocalypse continues here in Boston. Anyone have any umbrella buying tips? Good manufacturers?

I have a wicked good umbrella for you! I bought a "Bag Boy" golf umbrella for a trip to Ireland 5 years ago. Very durable, big, well made umbrella. It will stand up to the toughest, driving wind and rain there is.

It is vented so it will handle the wind better than most. Its also priced pretty well at $25 most places. Good Luck.

I've had good experience with Totes umbrellas (see totes-isotoner.com/category/totes.do ).

I want to suggest something that most people forget. Big umbrellas. I can't count on one hand the number of times that I've been out with friends in the pouring rain and only one person brings an umbrella.

Trying to cram everyone underneath that one is first of all uncomfortable, and second of all, everyone ultimately ends up soaked. Take a look into innovagolf.com/umbrellas.html InnovaGolf. They specialize in bigger umbrellas and they also describe their designs and frames that protect against strong gusts of wind.

Let's just hope it doesn't start raining cats and dogs. Although these would probably be the best to protect against such a natural disaster :)

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
