Think we see now that it might of been a mistake although finally starting to score the former Liverpool hit-man is finding it hard to hit the net, missing open goals and getting set off he is a shadow of the footballer he used to be!
I agree with humagaia, to early to tell but there were similarities with his form at liverpool this season yesterday. At times he looked frustrated and when substituted the look on his face was one of a person who maybe was doubting his decision a little? He had no service yestarday and couldn't do alot more than he did, I am a reds fan so glad that was the case, but there is no doubting that once fully fit and with a few games under his belt, being one of the top 5 strikers in the world he will score goals for whoever let alone chelsea, one of the most talented squads about.
Liverpool not being in the champions league allows Torres to play in that competition for the blues so another reason the £50 million was paid, and of course he will add greatly to cause for their persuit of the European Cup. Overall I think in time the money will be well spent, he is top top quality, and Chelsea have the luxury of having cover if he does pick up an injury that they wouldn't have to rush him back as Liverpool did because they relied so heavily on him. And added to that I think his arrival will also give Drogba a renewed enthusiasm as he has had it far to easy over past few seasons...
Ndsight is the best sight, but Torres' move was not good for Chelsea and not good for the Spanish striker. Not being a Chelsea fan at all, I was hoping that would have happened.
I agree with the sentiment of the other posts, its too early to tell. Chelsea's problem on Saturday was a lack of creativity from midfield.
At £50million and the way he played Sunday it looks like it. But it is too early to tell. Come next season he may prove to be the one to take over from Drogba who I think has come to the end of his prolific scoring era.As an avid Chelsea fan I certainly hope so.
He will also be a great asset in Europe.
It will be real hard for him to settle in Chelsea. I think Chelsea were looking for a long term replacement for Drogba. Its too soon to make a judgement.
Let's see what happens.
I think it is a mistake ,the only reason being I think he would survive better in la liga ,it suits him more! Although he won't be so put on at chelsea like he was at liverpool! Ie the only decent forward.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
