Uninstalling linux ubuntu 8.10 and installing windows 7?

It sounds like you're trying to SandBox all of these OSes. A Good Idea, because you really don't want any OS to wipe out any other OS, right? First off W 8 will cause W 7 OR Ubuntu to no longer boot.

W 8 does over-write the W 7 Boot Loader, which is where the Ubuntu Boot-loader hides. There is a better way: I use Oracle's free Virtual Box on my iMac, and I have a legal W7, a W8 CP, and Linux Mint 12, and even Win98 just for fun, all running happily under VBox. And, this is 100% safe.

If it were me, I'd un-install Ubuntu, and install the FREE VBox. Then, install W 8 under VBOX, and then Ubuntu. The same "Install order" applies if you choose the Partitioning route.

Yes it will make problems, no-one has mentioned that grub will be erased, making ubuntu unbootable and inaccessible, best way is to instal virtualbox (its in ubuntu's software) then install win8 in a virtual machine.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
