Vitamins to Improve Memory?

The brain is a very complex organ and is made up of millions upon millions of cells, each of which interact with other cells to perform all the functions of the body. Dogs and pigs and birds and all creatures that a mobile have identifiable brains, however, it is only the higher primates and some dolphins that actually show sentience. By sentience is meant an ability to learn, remember, and reason. And this ability can be trained with the right memory improving techniques.

Despite a lot of research and a lot of hopeful and wishful thinking as yet only the human animal has the ability to learn to speak, to do complex reasoning and to be original in things. This is because of the higher functions that have developed in the brain. A newborn child is born with a clean slate as it were as there is no identifiable difference in the brain of a child born to professors at Harvard to the child born in the highlands of Lesotho in Africa.

But a stimulating environment combined with good nutrition means the chances are good that the child born in Harvard is more likely to graduate from a university than the poor child in Lesotho. But this is not always the case. There are well known cases of children born of brilliant and successful parents being dull while some emerge from the backwaters to graduate and become doctors and writers and professors.

In addition the brain, although much studied and researched often goes wrong. But is has been found that the chances are hugely reduced once it is recognized that vitamins improve memory and the vitamins that improve memory have been found to be those in the B group, especially Vitamin B12 and Vitamin B6; Vitamins C and E are also necessary as is Omega 3.

As the body starts to age the neuro-receptors need a good deal of feeding and with the advance of age it becomes difficult to absorb these vitamins from the food one eats so it is necessary to take supplements. Good medical advise is highly recommended before embarking on a course of vitamins. The correct vitamin supplements in proper dosages are a great benefit and will assist in keeping ones memory intact.

Vitamins that assist in reversing or at least slowing memory loss include B6, Folic Acid, Choline, Ginko and some others. Which should be researched and taken in balanced dosages as a dietary supplement. These benefit everyone with their effects of improving the brain functions.
