I like #3 for the same reasons I like Mahalo, it's a question that brings together a good combination of thought, research, experience and opinion. #1 and #5, while collectors of useful information, are still things that you could have found anyplace (How to Save Money|tips for saving money is right up there with How to Increase Website Traffic|tips for increasing your web site traffic in terms of popularity). #2 is just too abstract for me to care about it - though it may be interesting, it is not valuable.
#4 is too arbitrary, asking us to be long distance doctors without knowing all the symptoms. So #3 it is. While you could easily find a picture of Waco in any search engine, it is the human element of Mahalo that differentiates it and for 1993 at least promotes that picture higher than, say, Bill Clinton|Clinton being sworn in.
I remember watching Waco happen. It is a powerful image. Which, I think, is sort of the point of that whole "defining photograph" series.
Number 5. Interesting information that is useful to everyone in the current Economy|economic climate.
I would have to go for ( for its random off the wall aspect ) 2. How-much-do-you-think-a-presidents-body-would-be-worth-if-you-held-it-for-ransom. That was one of those questions that way beyond unique.
You would have to wonder how or why a person would ever have thought that one up. It got you thinking, a little on the dark side, and a little on the funny side too.
I will say #2 because it is very interesting to me... Although, it seems that #5 is getting more votes. It appears (judging from yesterday's and today's votes) people are focusing more on the most "relevant" question for this category. I'm not necessarily convinced that relevant and interesting are the same thing.
Question number 2 is the best. It shows the most creative thought on behalf of both the questioner and the answerers. It is also an opinionated question so there lots of opinions, which makes it fun to read.
Number 5. We all need help right now. There is scarcely a person alive now whose life hasn't been touched in one way or another; if you've not been affected you likely know someone who has who you could pass these tips along to.
I like #5 as it is exactly what I am wondering too.
5. It's interesting and relevant. The answers have been useful, too.
I vote number two because its such a bizarre question, that you can't help but wonder what the answer would be. I mean, seriously, who even thinks about that? A very unique mind, obviously!
It was the type of question that made me laugh, but then stop and go..'Huh, actually I wonder...' Number one is something that just requires a quick statistical check, and is a bit bland for my tastes. Number three is part of a series that has been a regular fixture; while I enjoy these questions and the responses, I'm used to them by now. I'm not sure why number four is up here, I'm assuming because it got a lot of responses.
The question itself though isn't necessarily very interesting, and the majority of the responses gave the same basic advice. Number five was okay, but I guess I'm just a little worn out on seeing questions about the economy, the recession, etc. So I didn't even click to view the answers on this one because I've been seeing this advice all over the place now.
Number 5. That's the big topic of the day, week, and unfortunately, probably the year.
I'm going to have to go with #5, advice on how to get through these hard times is very useful for those particularly hit hard by the 2008 Financial Crisis|economic downturn. Let's hope it doesn't last too long.
I will choose 5th. It is the main point of current life :).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
