The selection of Steven Tyler for American Idol brings with it several pros and cons. For those who are appearing on American Idol this is a chance to hear from a storied veteran of the music industry who has a career that has spanned several decades and many changes to the overall industry. While Steven Tyler isn't Katy Perry or one of the more hip judges that could have been seen on American Idol and thereby pulling in more ratings from the younger crowd he could be a great addition to the judging staff from his long time experience.
Personally I feel that the show has begun to really drop off. I think the ratings are certainly going to go down this season. I could be proven wrong though as many Aerosmith fans might tune in just to see him doing the show.It could also prove most interesting as he has a somewhat unique personality that might not mesh well with the other judges of the show.
I'm certain we will see some personality clashes and an uptick in Aerosmith popularity once again. From a television production standpoint he will surely bring the producers some gold with his unpredictable antics and sayings. From a former American Idol fan I feel the show is doing a bit more to jump the shark.
He's a veteran, incredibly successful artist, so he more than fits the qualification to judge talent. Then the personality aspect comes in. Simon Cowell is no more, off to the American X Factor.
Who could fill that void, not necessarily as the "bad guy," but as someone who you want to watch? I just imagine that Steven Tyler would be like all the other celebrity guest judges on the show. He feels like a big name they're throwing on the show to keep this train running.
My first thought was that Steven Tyler is not a good choice for an American Idol judge. Then after thinking about how annoying it can get with the judges being so kind, I must reconsider. I liked Simon because he was so truthful and brutal.
He always said what "we" were thinking. I hope if he is a judge, he will bring some truth, honesty and criticism. Otherwise it gets annoying even hearing from the judges.
I like Paula, but as a judge she was so irritating. It seemed like she would just listen to what Randy Jackson had to say and then pretty much copy that. I guess I am saying that I want the next judge to be brutally honest and to the point. It is hard to tell until they get there and begin judging.
And PS! I liked Ellen Degeneres. I did not even know she was leaving, sad!
.Online says that Steven Tyler of Aerosmith is the next American Idol judge based on word from well placed sources. According to the note negotiations were finalized late last week. The report also says that Jennifer Lopez isn't completely out of the running, but her demands for payment in the range of $20 million is beyond what American Idol producers were thinking.
Steven Tyler will certainly bring a fresh rock sensibility to the judges' table. Aerosmith have 22 top 40 pop hits in their long career including eight top 10 singles, and one #1 smash, "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing." They have also topped the rock tracks chart 10 times.
Album sales in the US are beyond 65 million.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
