This is a compelling interview. He obviously raises some very interesting points. It is indeed unfortunate that Obama's presidency has yet to produce any real, discernible differences from the Bush administration with regard to the military campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan.
He seems to sympathise with Obama though, that he might be caught between a rock and a hard place . . .
Still, let's hope a way can be found to phase out both sets of operations sooner rather than later. He also raised some fascinating points about the justification for a war, or for other types of military intervention . .. Its fluidity ... How the Iraq issue has evolved from a search for nuclear weapons to a search for chemical weapons to now, an attempt to install democracy.
Not fully sure to what extent I would quite share his views, but it is certainly an interesting perspective. The role of money and the corporate influence on politics is also something he touches on. Also, the "War on Terror" becoming the "new excuse" for meddling in international affairs / governments, replacing the Cold War / communism fears of the past."Immortal" is very learned and very articulate, and certainly has the potential to become a very important voice .. .
Until he mentioned his suspicion / distrust of record labels etc. I was wondering why he did not enjoy a much higher profile. Thanks for posting it.
This guy reminds me of Malcolm X his clear, precise and discerning account of issues can be so sweet to listen to. S opinions on most of the issues concerning America I agree with and I think the world need more men like him just like Malcolm X. And for me that is one thing that stands out this guy don't sugar coat it he calls an ace an ace and call a spade a spade.
This guy is smart intelligent and certainly gunning for a better way for the people not Capitalism or the State, the people and I like that. Also I think his rap is a breath of fresh air not the materialistic, get rich booty shaking stupidness most rappers spew on stage youtube.com/watch?v=ENHP89mLWOY youtube.com/watch?v=Dmzaaf-9aHQ.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
