What does this mean. The type of the file system is NTFS. The volume is dirty. Windows XP?

A volume is sometimes marked dirty if the computer undergoes a sudden power interruption(leaving no chance to shut down things properly) May be that's the cause.

The dirty file error happens because of not closed properly. Restart your window and see it appears again. If yes then format your drive.

What File System means here is the way files are arranged in your computer. The computers have a way of arranging files in a systematic way so that they can be accessed very fast and easily, just like we arrange files in cabinet in a given order.

We have had a number of filling systems e.g. FAT 12, FAT 16, FAT 32, NTFS.

When you come to volume, or the volume label, it is the name you assign your drive. So, if you rename your drive to "Hubpages", then the drives volume will be appearing as "Hubpages". In your case, the hard disk has been given the name 'dirty'.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
