What exactly is an IMAX DVD, and how is it different from a normal HD or BluRay DVD?

I am trying to buy Blue Planet on HD DVD. (I know it defunct, but a player was given as a gift and I can get the HD DVD version lots cheaper than BluRay) However, all I can seem to find are Blue Planet HD DVD's that are IMAX. How does this differ from a normal HD DVD?

The film is filmed in the Imax format - which is designed for the larger screen history.sandiego.edu/gen/filmnotes/imax.... meant the mixers did not have to make several rounds of notes while watching the film and then implement changes back at the EFX dub stage. But they did have to set up facilities in a working theater that was not available until 10 at night (after the day's last screening). They worked from a 24-track premix made at EFX with six tracks each for effects, backgrounds, and music; three for Foley; and one each for narration, voice-overs, and dialog.

EFX made a discrete premix to 24 tracks: six each for effects, backgrounds, and music; three for Foley; and one each for narration, voice-overs, and dialog. (quote from Millimeter article by Philip De Lancie) But really, these are just DVDs that were initially shown in IMAX. Sources: My answer .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
