People with diabetes should have at least 2 servings of fruits or fruit juices per day. They do not have to avoid fruits, but there are some pointers at the end of this text that indicate some things to avoid when including fruits in your diet. What is most important is to limit your total intake and to follow recommended servings, such as: 1/4 cup of raisins or other dried fruit 1/3 cup of fruit juices that are high in sugar like juices made from prunes or cranberries 1/4 cup of unsweetened fruit juices 1/2 of canned fruit (in water and not syrup) 1 Fresh fruit that is about the size of a baseball Avoid: 1.
Fresh fruits are always better than canned or processed fruits. 2. Overly ripe fruits, such as ripe bananas and watermelon, which have a very high glycemic index.
Overly ripe peaches will have more sugars as well. As the figure indicates, raisins and are to be avoided, but this advice is not so if you follow the portion guidelines to limit the carb intake. 3.
Eating portions that exceed the recommended portion levels for carbohydrate intake for your diet I would also recommend looking up the glycemic diet recommendations. The glycemic diet was specifically designed for diabetics, and its guidelines will offer you specific recommendations regarding fruits that you are likely to include in your diet, as well as the recommended portion levels.
I have an aunt that's diabetic and she has to be very careful on the serving size and to make sure she eats fruit with something else. For example, a half banana is safer than a full banana and even better if you were to cut it in pieces and eat it with cereal. Fruits that have a higher glycemic level should be avoided, like mangoes and grapes.
You can eat a small serving of berries or a small apple but it's best to eat it with something else. You could eat blueberries with plain yogurt or dried cranberries in a salad. Just because a person is diabetic, doesn't mean they should stop eating all fruit.
They can, just in very small portions or with other foods that are low in sugar. Goodluck!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
