What is a summary and how do I add one to my hubs?

When you are constructing a hub, to the right under the types of capsules you can add, e.g. , text, photo, etc. , there will be another section that includes tags you can add, and second to the right of tags, is summary. Click on "summary" and you can type in two-three sentences to provide a brief synopsis of your hub. Hope that helps.

A summary is a short description of what your hub is about. To add a summary to your already existing hub go to your account and click edit next to the hub you want to add a summary to. Once the hub opens in edit mode, on the right side of the page, you will see the word Summary written in blue.

Click on it and it will bring up a Hub Summary box. Write a short summary for your hub and when you are done click on the Done Editing button at the top of the (hub) page. Once you do this and go back to your account the A next to that hub should be gone.

You can summarize by getting only the main idea and the details on each paragraph...Making an outline is a great help for in that way you can create one sentence per paragraph and narrow down the subdetails...

Here you can add some attractive part of your hubpages so that readers are ready to read that hub. It is like face of your hubpage to tell readers what the hubpage is all about. See the screenshot by @arksyhere you add your summary.(you can't think of proper words, you can simply add first few lines of your hubpage).

A Hub Summary is the description of your article that identifies it in Search Engines. You should write a brief description of your Hub, generally 2-3 sentences that will grab the reader. If you don't write your own Hub Summary, HubPages will create one automatically based on your keywords. It is best that you write it yourself because there is no guarantee that your Summary will be exactly the way you intend it to be listed.

Here is a link from the Learning Center that explains this in greater detail: hubpages.com/learningcenter/How-to-Creat... hope that this answers your question! JSMatthew~.

They end up being what searchers see on the search pages. I have just been editing some of the summaries I put in earlier because now I know how important they are. I tended to just put the first paragraph from my hubs--just to get it done.

But now I realize they were too long (recommended is 155-200) words and didn't contain any of my keywords.

When making summary, don't forget to use key words of the articles. This way, it would be easier to search through search engine.

Many network hubs available today support the Ethernet standard. Other types including USB hubs also exist, but Ethernet is the type traditionally used in home networking. To expand a network to accommodate more devices, Ethernet hubs can also be connected to each other, to switches, or to routers.

The number of ports an Ethernet hub supports also varies. Four- and five-port Ethernet hubs are most common in home networks, but eight- and 16-port hubs can be found in some home and small office environments. Older Ethernet hubs were relatively large in size and sometimes noisy as they contained built in fans for cooling the unit.

Newer devices are much smaller, designed for mobility, and noiseless. Ethernet hubs operate as Layer 2 devices in the OSI model, the same as network switches. Although offering comparable functionality, nearly all mainstream home network equipment today utilizes network switch technology instead of hubs due to the performance benefits of switches.

A hub can be useful for temporarily replacing a broken network switch or when performance is not a critical factor on the network.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
