I would recommend staying at the Aqua Palms & Spa... Aqua Palms & Spa 1850 Ala Moana Boulevard, Honolulu, Oahu, HI 96815 aquaresorts.reachlocal.net/waikiki_bouti... It was highly rated on TripAdvisor and Expedia (see below) and is a 3-star hotel with a very affordable price. Right now you can get rooms for around $110 a night, which is pretty darn cheap . Expedia: 92% of travelers (79 of 85) recommend this hotel "Good Hotel for the Price.

The hotel is very nice overall. The room is a little bit small for us Texan, but sufficient enough to get around with 2 adults and 4 large luggage in the room. Outside looks old but the inside is very nice and clean.

Location is not too bad. A bit too far from the Waikiki, about 5-10 minutes walk. But it is great because it is away from the busy business district, less crowed.

Overall, a good hotel for the price. Traveler’s tip on dining. Chart House is a good place for happy hour.

Sam Chow for the Poke. Ramen house(Japanese noddle house) are great place for a quick and cheap lunch. Romy’s Shrimp and Prawn is a must try place.

Spicy Garlic Shoyu and Garlic Butter is the best. Shokudo’s Spicy Ahi Tuna Poke is awesome and worth the money every bite. Stay away from the restaurant at Waikiki if you are on the budget, unless you have coupon.

I heard about it through this website, and after researching every possible hotel in Honolulu, decided on the Aqua Palms. The truth is, you really can’t do much better when it comes to bang for your buck. The location is great, the rooms are nice (even though they are quite small), and the service at the hotel is wonderful.(We called about a clogged shower, and someone was at our room to fix it within 15 minutes.) I would definately recommend this hotel to my friends.
