What is the biggest danger you think can come from using the internet?

Biggest danger from using the internet, Children getting harmed or lured in by the perverts of the world and being exploited. Second biggest danger, probably global financial collapse.

P . No, seriously I think the biggest danger is the addiction that comes with it for so many people. The causes can be life threatening.

My little bro wrote a blog about it (zeigersblog.wordpress.com) called; 'A threat to Korea, a threat to France and a threat to you too! '. A couple in Korea have been jailed for their gaming addiction causing their baby's death (due to abandonment).

They pleaded guilty and are full of remorse...The mental, emotional and physical side effects are being compared to the worst drugs out there in some countries.

Lack of time for family, friends and loved ones.

Surely socially you may get less close to your friends, but you can become close in virtual world through social networks. Also financially viruses can cause your computer hardware and software getting destroyed.

For the extreme answer I would suggest watching Die Hard 4.0 where they show that an internet based terrorists takes over the world.

Maybe this is not such a big danger as those described by the previous posters, but I always felt cautious about the internet.

While it's a great tool that contains a wealth of information, it also makes it easy for anyone to write whatever they want, whether it's truth or lies, and manipulate others on a global scale.

People believe in a written word more than in a spoken word, and people fall for hoax websites. For example, man pregnancy com (NOT real! ) or google "victorian robots" - webpage about robots built in the Victorian era (NOT real!).

Or, take, for example, the "deadly" swine flu from a couple of years ago. I strongly believe that we were simply brainwashed and the swine flu was not as dangerous as any other regular flu and was just a campaign to sell vaccines. Maybe not so, but the internet made it easy to reach a large audience.

In any case, it's already hard to separate the wheat from the chaff, and soon it may become simply impossible!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
