What music do you find most creatively inspiring?

Songs and music by Jim Brickman's and Avril Lavigne's. Many others.

An instrumental music, or a melodious song at the background helps me concentrate and work with focus.

I jump between film soundtracks and love songs, depending on what's going on in my life. But on road trips, I'll rock out. (.

While writing, I can't listen to anything with words, but I find SImon and Garfunkel stuff most inspiring generally. They were artists, unlike our popular singers today.

That depends on my mood, and what I'm writing. It could be something like Florence + The Machine, Aretha Franklin, Samurai Champloo soundtrack and artists inspired by it,the movie soundtrack to Where the Wild Things Are, Bessie Smith, Nine Inch Nails, Big Mama Thorton, Otis Redding, Fiona Apple, string ensembles, or a CD called African Lullabies, etc.

Any music with lovely word and lovely tone.

I will listen to all forms of music. Even if I don't like it, I love to listen for a challenge to my mindset. But for personal listening I can name a few faves...

I love big beat electronica like the Chemical Brothers and the Crystal Method.

In the last decade I became more in touch with Trip Hop. My personal faves being Tricky and Massive Attack.

I love deep jazz like Miles Davis and Thelonius Monk.

I absolutely have my heart in early post new wave like INXS and U2.

Can't forget my metal roots. But I prefer the more modern stuff.

And I can't forget my first love, Rock n Roll. Lets be fair and say Led Zeppelin, The Who, and Pink Floyd.

That about covers it. Music for the Masses Kiddies.

Which make me feel good, pleasant to my ears , full with melodious words touch my heart.

Definitely classical and rock/alternative. Classical has the power to evoke rich emotions that beg describing and though words often fall far short of being able to capture what it is this music can make you feel, it's still worth it to find what you come up with in the attempt.

Rock/alternative because most of the lyrics in this genre tell such beautiful stories and are great jumping off points for coming up with lyrics or ideas for your own writing.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
