That I can make friends from all over the world Well, I've been hooked ever since. It never fails...I sign on and sit here laughing, giggling, smiling from ear to ear...often sharing in someones concerns and sadness, too. The people here are amazing...it's a whole different kind of friendship...we get to know a persons mind, heart and soul without ever meeting them in living person. So opposite to real life in the real world.

You can often know a person for years and never know the 'real' person inside. In some ways, it's like going to confession...your face is hidden, you are not judged on appearance, age, gender, color or creed...just on your true thoughts and feelings. It's like therapy, it' can be fun, lighthearted...or very deep. And having a chance to meet new friends all around the world is amazing to me.

I felt really silly I learned that this scar on my left arm is from a small pox vaccine, not a polio vaccine I thought it was for 53 years! Shamefull. I learned other things too.

There are alot of very smart, educated people here. I would have to say I learn something new almost daily. Sources: my life .

The most interesting Thing I've Learned isn't a piece of information. Instead, it's something I've learned about myself. This is the only experience I've had with anything remotely resembling a chat room (or whatever the real terminology is!).

I've never understood how people could form relationships on-line. I've heard stories, of course, but always thought that those people must be lacking something in their 'real' lives to get so invested in a 'fake' on-line life. Wrong!

I've learned to be grateful for all the friendships and encounters I've had here. I've learned that real, good, intelligent, funny, caring people inhabit this space. And I've learned that Internet addiction may indeed be possible .

Bird of prey bank Last week someone mentioned in an answer that there is a bird of prey part bank for Native Americans (who are the only people legally allowed to have hawk and eagle parts and carcasses--you can't even pick up a feather from the ground if you're not NA). A couple of days later, I found a dead hawk and called it in to my local Animal Control office--hopefully it got to the bird bank. It was a big, gorgeous hawk.

The question I got the info from was this one.

I would have to say... learning how to make delicious iced coffee! Thanks to everyone who gave me all those great tips! .
