What's your favorite place to see a concert in Seattle (outdoors)?

Woodland Park Zoo I really like the Zootunes concert series, especially that I was getting in these past years as a "zoo neighbor" :) I'm going to miss that perk. I saw Suzanne Vega there, Joan Baez, They Might Be Giant, Indigo Girls ... Nice relaxed atmosphere, and good sound. The view on the stage can be a bit hard, there's no big screen to look at and lots of people sitting in front of you but you can arrive a bit early and snatch that first row without problem.

I've also been to the Summer Night at the Pier concert and it was good too, I liked the ability to move around, go sit a bit and then come back in the crowd in front. However no photos allowed :(I saw De La Soul, Cake, Flaming Lips there. Google Map View Larger Map .

In the greater Seattle area ,it would have to be the Gorge, by far The Gorge is one of the best outdoor music venues in the US. Marymoor is a very nice intimate 5000 seat venueChateau St. Michelle Winery is also nice and intimateWoodland Zoo also has a small outdoor venue for up close concerts .

The Gorge Ampitheatre (Ok, its not IN Seattle, but its worth the drive) The Gorge Ampitheatre is by far my favorite place to see any concert in the Seattle area. It isn't exactly in Seattle, it is about a 2-2 1/2 hour drive east, but well worth it. I have been to numerous outdoor ampitheatre venues, but nothing even comes close to this one for the setting. As the name implies, the ampitheatre has the backdrop of the Columbia River Gorge.

There are few places in the country that could compare for the view and the only one that I think comes close is Red Rocks in Denver, CO. The area is also the ideal location for the weather. It is far enough outside of Seattle to have more consistent weather, and the summertime highs average in the 90s with the lows in the 60s. This makes it perfect for a summer evening concert.

Finally, what makes this place ideal, is that for its capacity of about 20,000, I don't think there can be a bad seat in the house. Where I can catch crab in seattle, wa area.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
