As I've said before, animals are individuals, and it depends on the individual beast. Your best bet is to spend an afternoon at a shelter for cats, and one for rabbits, and choose a candidate to sit with you, and see how they tolerate the interaction. I can not tell you, oh, a cat is better, or a rabbit is.

There are too many variables, including you. Why don't you choose the animal you like, and take a chance, like the rest of us. If you are a kind, and gentle person you will get a lot of satisfaction knowing you rescued, and gave a great new home to a needy animal.

If you are a new pet owner, I wouldn't go with the rabbit as a first pet. They're high maintenance. Good luck.

Whoo! Like maggo said, animals are INDIVIDUALS. "Shop" around for a cat.

Believe me, you will find one that is STARVING for love; I did....

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
