Mastiffs are exceptionally loyal to their families. A Mastiff is described as a "Gentle Giant". They are great as a guard dog, but exceptionally loyal and caring with their family.

Socialization must start at an early age, due to their size. However they are smart and easy to train. They are good-natured, caring, and naturally easy-going.

I don't know that they are the most loyal of all dogs, but they are both loyal and will defend you. They also fit the qualifications that you mentioned in a dog. Sled dogs, specifically, Alaskan Malamutes & Siberian Huskies (or other working dogs), see details "Most loyal breed of dogs" is very debatable. I would have to argue that "sled dogs", specifically:Alaskan Malamutes & Siberian Huskiesare demonstratably the "most loyal":- they defend you no matter what- obey your rules- are very smart- learn basic commands with no problems. URL1 many other breeds of "working dogs" for that matter, working dogs develop a very strong bondthrough interactions with their owners/partners.

Keep in mind that domesticated dogs were selectively bredfor certain environments and working tasks,so a breed which is the best in one environmentis not necessarily good in another. Before deciding on a breed,I would research its history and "best" working environment. While some people would argue American Pit Bull Terriers,(or Boxers, Dobermanns, & Rotweilers)I would argue against them citing the few caseswhere they have turned on their owners or family memberswith catastrophic results.

Other "loyal" breeds:- Beagles- Collies- Shelties- Terriers- Golden Retriever- Labradors- German Shepards- Great Danes- Boxers, Dobermanns & Rotweilers (which I caution AGAINST)http://www.akc.org/breeds/http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_most_loyal_breed_of_doghttp://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=1006021703424For more information or assistance, contact me LeheckaG on AskVille. Depends This answeer will depend on different people and their experiences. I would definately go with what people have "personally" experienced and not just what you have read in books. And what one person says is not necessarily wrong and another right depending on what is said.

Again it comes down to what people have experienced. For example I can't tell you how a chow reacts because I have never had a chow. I could tell you what a book says about chow's but I feel that would be short changing them.My personal experience.

A german shepherd. I had a german shepherd for 13 years and I had to put her to sleep due to hip problems and severe pain. Broke mine and my wife's heart.

German shepherds will defend their pack which includes you and your familly, until they die if they have to. German Shepherds are very smart and easy to train. As you notice police use shepherds in their training as drug dogs on a regular basis. We went to a few classes and learned the basics and then taught the rest to the shepherd on our own.

Sit, stay, come to name a few, came natural to her. You simply can't beat the intelligence of a German Shepherd. Personal opinion.

Loyal Dog In my opinion Blue Heelers rock! They are loving, explorers, and so CUTE! They are very curious but as long as you have a big yard, they should be satisfied.

I have a blue heeler and she is very protective with her food, but would never hurt anyone or anything. Blue Heelers are about medium size and are probably not good for inside. They are also good for hiking, playing outdoors, and are okay with children.

They do tend to get hyper, but not Jack Russell hyper. If you are thinking about getting a puppy, Blue Heelers are great but you must be very patient while training them. Blue Heelers are amazing, you could teach them to eat at thet dinner table with you and they would learn how to within two to three days!

If you are looking for a kind, loving, protective dog Blue Heelers are for you. Varies from Dog to Dog My best trained most loyal dog was a mixed breed Irish Setter / Golden Retriever. The worst behaved beastie I ever owned was a Chihuahua (loved him anyway) I have heard of very well trained and super protective German Shepards, My brother owned a Lab that would fetch rocks for him that had been thrown into a pond. So there are many choices, alot of what you end up with is what you put into it.

If you get a puppy, start training young and if you have never trained a dog, by all means go to obediance classes. If you don't have time ( it takes up quite a bit) try an older dog at the pound or shelter. If your local shelter allows it, ask to see a dog or two outside of the pen.( we have a shelter here that allows you to walk a perspective pet before making a descision) if you are able to do this try out a few commands like sit and lie or down.

You may find a pet who already knows a thing or two and really needs a home. They learn loyalty pretty quick when you take good care of them..

How do dogs communicate with other dogs without barking.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
