Who was the original actor cast to play Aragon in LOTR? Not Viggo?

Stuart Townsend was originally cast as Aragon! In one of the extended editions they show a short video clip of Stuart as Aragon. The most common story as to why they fired him was that he was too young to play the role, but who knows whether that's the real story.

Either way, I'm glad Viggo ended up with the part instead. Also heard they offered the role to Daniel Day-Lewis|Daniel Day Lewis but he turned it down. There are a couple comments from Mr Townsend where he sounds none too happy about being fired: speculativevision.com/scifi_news/lotr.
