Who wrote the King James version of the bible?

The King James Version of the bible was translated by a group of men at the request of King James of England. It was meant to counter the Geneva bible by ommitting the footnotes the Geneva bible contained. The KJV originally contained the same books canonized by the Council of Hippo.

Modern King James bibles leave out some of the books of the Christian bible and follow the Rabbinic Jewish Canon. More.

God wrote the King James Bible. King James had nothing to do with the writing of the Bible. 2 Timothy says All scripture is given by in inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
