Why are so many Americans opposing the Muslim community centre near ground zero when they continue to build...?

ALL the poor muslims of NY can easily visit the literally HUNDREDS of mosques already available in NY. And over a hundred of those are already in NYC. No one is opposing that they ADD TO THE ALLREADY HUNDREDS that they have here.

They are only asking that they build Mosque 301 a little further away from ground zero. Do you think that's too much to ask? 1.

This Mosque is being funded by the terrorist group Hamas. This is not a rumour. This is a proven fact that nobody except Hamas & the imam disputes.

Our government is very well aware that Hamas is involved. If you are not familiar with Hamas I suggest you look it up... They were directly involved in 9/11 and you can view all the lovely videos of them on youtube showing 12 year olds how to behead people and producing cartoons for CHILDREN that teach them that jews are pigs and dogs. THAT'S the organization that's building that mosque.

2. We are not allowed to build churches or temples in their nation & they give a death sentance to anyone in their country that converts to judiasm or christianity yet they demand that they are allowed to build mosques here.. and they are demanding that it be ON GROUND ZERO & not in ALL the rest of NY where noone would have a problem with it. There is already a small mosque minutes away from Ground Zero- but that's not enough for this terrorist group.

Noooo. They want to build a 13 story MEGA mosque right ON Ground Zero; as if telling the muslim world 'we blew-up this spot and now the land is ours to build a mosque on' They demand tolerance & sensitivity from us, but they don't care at all about how most of America & NY feels about them building it in that spot.

In response to the people saying they would never allow churches of other religions built in Muslim countries, that's just not true.. There are plenty. As for the comparison to Mecca, how many mosques or synagogues are built in the Vatican city? Cardinal- Islam is a Semitic religion.... Also, Christians and Jews have enjoyed building their churches on conquered territory for just as long as the Muslims and on a much bigger scale.

In Israel's case they're even happy to build their synagogues on Muslim graveyards(quite a recent event also). Don't be such an ignorant bigot. Cardinal - How any countries do just Israel(a Jewish nation) and the US(a christian nation) have troops in currently?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
