Are any of the people who opposed the Muslim Community Center near Ground Zero upset about the proposed...?

It's just that, ignorance. That's why they oppose the muslim center. They think extremists=muslim and vice versa.

It's all a little ridiculous, not mention ironic seeing how telling muslims they can't build a mosque goes against the very constitution those ingorant people are trying to protect.

Oh yes islam is a very peaceful religion kill those who think otherwise. And don't think that muslims don't use the "you will burn in hell" scare tactic. And if you want more of such teaching just look at the 114 suras.

You know, it's astonishing to what extent you people will go to support the Cordoba House Project. Let's see the progression of the stories of Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf, shall we? The first statement of his, not that of all you Liberals, was that it was a Mosque, and this was in no uncertain words, which would, incidentally, have a Community Center in it.

Then, when the opposition came, he changed that to - a Community Center which would, incidentally, have a Mosque in it. And, now, the latest story is that it's a Community Center which would, incidentally, have a Prayer Hall the thing formerly known as a Mosque in it. Fine, you're happy with this and you'll support it nonetheless.

So, by the same token, would all of you, also, support the Rights of the St. Nicolas Greek Orthodox Church which was destroyed when a part of the Tower fell upon it, which has now been denied permission to be rebuilt by the Mayor Michael Bloomberg Administration and the Barak Hussein Obama Government? After all, aren't we talking about the Equality and Freedom to Profess to the Religion of personal Choice, the First Amendment, which should be equally applied to all, including Christians? By the same token, would all of you, also, support the Rights of the Memorial Crosses on the Highway where the Officer of the Law fell defending Americans which has now been declared "unconstitutional" because "it sends across the message of official endorsement to a certain religion"?

Would you, also, support the Rights of the Christians to Post a Poster with Bible Quotes in it in the school boards, colleges and Public Places etc which is now being stopped on the basis of it's being "offensive"? Would all of you, also, support the Rights of the Christians to say "Merry Christmas" and to say God Bless America and to use In God we Trust? Or is your interpretation of the First Amendment only restricted to the Rights of the Muslims?

Isn't it clearly said in the First Amendment that all shall have the Right to profess the Religion of their choice without hindrance and restrictions? And, isn't Christianity also a Religion and aren't Christians also Americans? If you are not being Partisan and prejudicial shouldn't all of you be, also, the Christians with their Rights?

When you can't do that, what does that say about you? You speak of things that are Constitutional Rights, don't you? Well, if it's "unconstitutional to send across a message of official endorsement to a certain religion", then, can I see all of you up in arms against the Gross Misuse of their Official Positions by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and President Barak Hussein Obama in their publicly stating, in no uncertain terms, that they will support the construction which is openly and officially endorsing a certain religion and is hence in Gross Violation of the First Amendment?

And, will we see all of you asking the Barak Hussein Obama Government to justify the spending 16,000 $ to send Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf to Bahrain, Qatar and UAE, which are rich Islamic Countries where Imam Rauf can pitch for more funds for his project, as their "Consultant for an Outreach Program for fostering better relations" there? Consider the fact that the original Financiers of the Cordoba House Project had already backed out and pulled out all the funds from there, just some time before this "Outreach Program" came up. Consider the fact that there are already American Embassies there in all three Countries where with Ambassadors and very well qualified Staff doing precisely that job of fostering better relations.

Consider the fact that it needs to be justified that only Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf was qualified enough to perform a task alone where ll the three Embassies and all their Staff had failed. Now, what's happening to the First Amendment and the "Constitutional Rights" of all the others? Can you show us how non-partisan and sincere all of you are by being equally vociferous for all others?

Yeah, I didn't think so. @ med: when muslims burn the Bible that must be really intellectual to you isn't it?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
