Why do Western women whine about not having equal rights while women in other countries...?

Where to begin...ok the kitchen jokes. First, only chauvinists actually believe in women being forced into inferior roles. I have heard that the "get back in the kitchen" tends to be a joke used even by people who believe in equality.

If people actually believe in getting women out of the workforce, they tend to use arguments about the economy and the family structure. I don't agree with the ones who believe in ALL women having to be like this, but I still respect the opinion of the ones who want this type of submissive wife as a preference, because women can choose who they want to be with and could reject a man if she didn't believe in it. Sexist remarks?

Yeah I see those happening all the time. People of both genders enjoy slandering the other, typically out of a sense of comedy. I think it undermines the seriousness of double standards when people make light of them.

Many people seem content with the ones the other gender faces, while only opposing those that make them look bad. Prostitution and adult movies? Yeah, that happens.

The market is too great, and the people who make these things make too much money to stop. The viewers also perpetuate this by indulging. But understand that men aren't the only ones who watch it, and women aren't the only ones objectified by it.

But you are right, on average, these things are more harmful to the perception of women due to being objectified. Ageism? Definitely a problem.

I agre completely with your views on that. I think a big thing now is the Baby Boomers are getting close to retirement which is causing problems with social services, because so many people will enter retirement at the same time, so older people are though of as a burden. Also, the standard of beauty is based on younger people, so older people are though of as ugly and useless by some.

Parents? Definitely a problem. Parents no longer have much respect.

I blame the fact that discipline methods tend to be viewed as abuse now. Children can also sue their parents. I don't think that parents have the authority they used to.

I could go into other things you mentioned, but I am tired. I could have went into the double standards and injustices men face in America, but this question was about addressing your perceptions on women in America, so I focused on them.

Your English looks quite good to me. So coming from an American perspective, here are my thoughts. Legally, a woman is able to do anything and woman are involved in all fields.

In fact in the United States, there are currently more women in college (universities) than men. If you hear an American man saying "women should be in the kitchen" it could be either that it is form of sarcasm (saying something you don't mean, which is a very American thing to do) or the man is just traditional or more likely, the man is stupid. America does not have servants as a common thing, the way it is in poorer countries.

Most millionaires don't have them. Only people with huge mansions or who work for some kind of business will hire a maids, and these are employment jobs. Again, only a stupid person would say something overtly sexist or rude to anybody.

There are always people saying rude things. The solution is not to act like a hero. It's not worth it and most times you can just ignore it.

In this case, tolerance and a little more self-confidence would help you at all moments. This creates a volatile situation. In America say whatever you want, the priority needs to be to avoid physical confrontation.

Your method encourages physical violence, which I think is worse. Most situations don't require standing up to them, beyond just curtly telling them to stop. Arresting someone for raising their voice at a woman doesn't seem fair at all.

Some people are naturally louder and again as long as a person is not physical in any way or being extreme in their psychological abuse, I don't see the crime in it. The law against nudity, to some people, nudity of any kind is a form of art. Some people are offended, but others are not and as long as nobody is forced to see it or not see it, then it should be okay.

In America, as long as the actors are at least 18 and no one is physically forced or harmed in the making it, it's okay. Women paying less taxes than men is not fair. Women are just as powerful as men.

A lot of women support the household and make more money than men. In this case, giving these perks to women, is a subtle way of making women feel like they owe something to the men and society, and women don't owe anything. I will say that Hinduism having female gods is great.

But, if you want to talk about things that Americans "idolize," Americans have a love for female movie stars and female singers not because Americans feel like they have to help women out of pity, but because people genuinely like the person for who they are. The womanness doesn't even go through your mind. Family relations is pretty much the same all around the world, with some families having more love than others.

The only difference is that in America everyone has their own house and visits and calls each other, whereas in poorer countries the whole family tends to live in the same house, because they can't afford to move out. Everyone on this earth is ignorant about most things. For example, you know all 50 states, because like most people around the world, all of your life you've known about this other country across the world called "America." You've been watching its movies, you've been following its politics, you've been hearing all your life about "America, America, America." It's impossble for an American to pay attention to all countries, the way all countries are able to pay attention to America. Most Americans believe in evolution, but there are some Christians who for religious reasons might not believe.

The KKK today is such a small group and there is so much diversity in America today. The news media gives them attention because our free press gives attention to anything sensational. Abortion is legal in the United States, and the Republican party talks about getting rid of it, but it's not gonna happen, it's too popular.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
