Why does Apple keep displaying a White iPhone but they are not selling it?

Apple released a press statement that they are delaying the shipments of white iPhone 4 until late July. They said that white models of Apple's new iPhone 4 are more challenging to manufacture than they have expected and this result to the delay of it shipment. The manufacturer may not meet the standards of Steve Jobs but this is just purely speculations.

The white iPhone will not be available tile the second of July and it is not even going to be available for pre-order until then. The black iPhone currently listed as shipping by July 14, 2010 while the white iPhone is unavailable for pre-order or in-store pickup. Depending on its demand, it could take until August the latest before someone can get hold of a white iPhone in their hands.

There is no difference between the two models aside from the color. White is a difficult color to do exactly right compared to black. Those customers who prefer the white iPhone will then just have to wait for it when it will be available.

Okay, supposedly this is what's going on: There's been some kind of design issue with the glass manufacturer that is producing the white iPhone covers. They're trying to get the right mixture of "paint thickness and opacity" to create the ideal color white to match the phone base. I'm serious. So, according to the company, that's what has been holding up the availability of the phone.

Of course, none of this would have happened in the first place if Apple would have just waited to debut a picture of the phone until they had this process worked out, but that's another story. All of these "delays" and "waiting lists" just fan the flames of Apple hysteria, so that when the phone finally is available, it will sell out instantly.Jobs is no fool.

While I believe there is some truth to the manufacturing delays and what not for the white iPhone, part of me thinks it's just a marketing campaign. The more someone can't get something, the more they will want it. That's the elusive white iPhone.

There is a thin line though between delaying something to build up demand and waiting too long that people lose interest. A couple other things to consider on this topic: Will the white iPhone 4 have the same reception problems as the black model released earlier? Perhaps they are delaying the release to correct that "death grip."

Then again, if there will be no fix for the white model, many users will opt to use a case or bumper on the phone, which pretty much defeats the purpose of having the special color as it will for the most part be covered by the bumper. Either way, it's a pretty messed up situation all around.

Apple is planning to sell a white iPhone 4 but it will be released after the black iPhone towards the second half of July. Why do they keep showing the white one in pictures? My guess is that they are trying to build up some hype for the white one.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
