Why does my cat throw up his dry food?

Why does my cat throw up his dry food. He likes the food, it's the only one he will eat but a few times a wk he throws it up. It looks like half eaten pieces of the food.

Some cats are finiky and prefer soft cat food We have 5 cats and I think all of them throw up occasionally. Sometimes they eat to fast or to much at one time. Sometimes cats can be sick.

We had one about a year ago that threw up alot and we discovered he had a serious heart problem. If your sure it's not a serious sickness, then it's probably the cats eating habits, or it's just plain finiky. If you just got this cat, it may be used to soft cat food and is having a hard time tolerating the hard food.

Try giving it soft food some of the time and slowly give it small amounts of hard food as a treat now and then, and slowly build up to giving it larger amounts. Enjoy your kitty! Sources: This is my opinion .

My Simba does that ,too. She is the only one in the litter of four that does it. The other three nibble and chew their food, (Purina Hairball Formula with Yogurt).

Simba gobbles her food down really fast. A couple times a week, she spits up a large volume of unchewed food. No hairballs are involved, just dry food.It doesn't seem to bother her at all.

A few minutes later she's eating again. There is plenty of food for all four so there's no need for her to compete for food. Actually they all eat at different times.

Butch is healthy and it seemed to me he did gulp and eat his food too fast. Plus he drinks allot of water when he eats too. I had thought that that might have been the issue and last yr the vet didn't seem ed concerned when I told him about it.

He like the dry food so I am sure it's noty a wet dry issue. He is about 10 and I have had him about 5 yrs and he has eaten the same food since then, once I went thru 2 or 3 and found one he likes. It's a pirnia item and not a cheap wally world generic.

I am sure Iamas and otehrs are better but he won't eat them, I tried several. THANKS again! .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
