I have two 3 year old cats (sisters) that get two (6oz) cans of wet food a day, no dry food (they hate dry) is this too?

Trekincat is right --- your cats have you trained -- they will eat dry food if thats what they have put in front of them -- no animal will starve themselves to death --- although you don't mention what type of canned food you feed you might want to know this --- most canned foods are 40-50 % water --- most have excessive amounts of fat and sugar (like eating a candy bar ) ---most canned foods on a weight basis coat more than rib eye steak ( per pound ) --- mix some dry food with their canned food ( I also highly recommend science diet ) and as soon as they start eating the food with the dry kibble then each day mix more dry with less canned -- in 10 - 14 days you should be able to get them switched --- there is almost no way you can get a cat to loose weight on canned ---- and just like us the sugar in the canned food and the fact they don't have to work to digest it actually makes them feel hungrier faster --- so they bug you more for food .

They both get two cans a day, so four cans total. They wake me in the morning for them to feed them and in the afternoon they walk around crying from 4-5pm (we feed them at 5) until fed. They both finish right away at both times of the day.

I give Iams tan bag...has fruit/veg and sometimes tuna. All wet may not be good.

If you change food they may throw up...stay with the same food and healthy food...no gluten/dairy/soy/sugar/corn in food may help.

They will eat dry food, they just won't because they KNOW you will feed them yummy canned food, STOP feeding the canned food and feed them a good high quality dry food like Hills Science Diet, they will be healthier in the long run. I free feed my cats Hills Science Diet, and they are very healthy with coats that feel like mink, super silky soft, I only feed canned food as a treat once in awhile. Also with a good high quality food like HSD they actually end up eating less because their systems utilize a lot more of the food than they do with cheap brands, and they poop less and with virtually no nasty odors, in the long run ssince they need to eat less of it, the price comes out to be about the same as if you were feeding cheaper food.

When they were kittens one of them would eat the dry but started throwing it up so I discontinued it, the other one would never go by it. Both are active cats, like I said sisters, get the same amount, etc. but one is a good 5lb heavier. Though I've seen her get into my dogs dry food at times so that might have something to do with it.

Dog kibble isn't good for them, it doesn't have the proper nutrients, try a high quality dry kibble, I'm sure they will eat Science Diet, I've never met a cat that didn't like it. It is very well worth it.

PS 2 cans a day each of canned food is way way way too much canned. They need dry it is good for their teeth, canned sticks to teeth causing dental problems, the crunchy kibble helps clean the teeth. IMO they should be getting dry food as their main source of food, and no more than a 1/4 can each a day of canned , or no canned except as a treat now and then.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
