Why is Marijuana (Cannabis) not legal for recreational purposes in the United States?

There's a movie out called the Marijuana chronicles it shows how hemp was a leading crop in the US until some people in our government wanted to make it illegal because some blacks were smoking it, so it was just another way for them to throw blacks in jail back then, making it illegal just made more young people at the time try it as a way of revolting against our government. The movie is very educational.

The same reason stem cell research isn't fully legalized. People on their high "moral" horse.

Becuase federal law enforcment has labeled it a schedule 1 drug meaning that it has no medicinal value. Also it blackends the brain and there are studies that suggest that the drug is linked to certain brain disorders you could get later on in life. Ones that get you hospitalized for the rest of your life.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
