Why is the People's Republic of China defined as a communist country?

Every regime in the world seeks legitimacy. Have you ever asked yourself why North Korea calls itself Democratic People's Republic of Korea? Have you ever seen any democracy in North Korea?

Our Communist Party bosses keep talking of democratic reforms in Tibet and Xinjiang, though there's no democracy in China. Why is that? Keeping the tag of "Communist Party" helps us in our propaganda as we can claim that the government of China is socialist.

The tag of "Authoritarian Party of China" would not be palatable to anybody.

China is communist in name only. China experimented with communism under the leadership of Mao Zedong between 1949 and 1976, but the results were poor. China initiated massive economic, social, and political reforms beginning in 1978 with the Open Door Policy.

China has evolved into a multiparty social state with a vibrant capitalist economy. China has risen from its economic obscurity of 30 ago to be the second largest economy on Earth (US$5.2 trillion). Thousands of multinational companies do business in China, the world's 4 largest banks are all Chinese, and China's economy is growing at 10%+ annually.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
